Introduction

Elegant Regency architecture, beautiful gardens, fascinating history and a timeless English atmosphere combine to make Royal Leamington Spa one of Warwickshire's most rewarding destinations. Once a fashionable spa resort, today it remains a charming blend of heritage, culture and riverside beauty.

Victoria Park

Opened in 1899 to mark Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, Victoria Park is Leamington's largest green space. Riverside walks, mature trees, sporting facilities and year-round events make it a favourite destination for both residents and visitors.

St Peter's Church

Built in 1864 and designed by renowned architect Henry Clutton, St Peter's Roman Catholic Church is a Victorian Gothic masterpiece. Its elegant brickwork, soaring interior and beautiful stained-glass windows reflect the confidence and prosperity of nineteenth-century Leamington.

A Regency spa town where Queen Victoria still stands watch over Warwickshire's quiet, timeless heart.

Bandstand

Standing proudly within the Pump Room Gardens, the Grade II listed Bandstand dates from 1896. Manufactured by Glasgow's famous Walter MacFarlane & Co., it continues a long tradition of outdoor music, entertainment and community gatherings in the heart of town.

Leamington Spa Town Hall

Completed in 1884, the magnificent Renaissance Revival Town Hall symbolises Victorian civic pride. Look out for the nearby statue of Queen Victoria, famously shifted by a German bomb blast during the Coventry air raid of November 1940.

Royal Pump Rooms & Art Gallery

The Royal Pump Rooms lie at the very heart of Leamington's story. Opened in 1814, they attracted visitors seeking the health-giving spa waters. Today, the beautifully restored building houses a library, museum and art gallery.

All Saints C of E Church

Dominating the skyline with its soaring 200-foot spire, All Saints Church is one of Warwickshire's finest Victorian churches. Richly decorated inside and out, it remains both a place of worship and an important cultural landmark.

Jephson Gardens & Mill Bridge

Often described as the jewel of Leamington Spa, Jephson Gardens combine colourful flower displays, ornamental lakes and tropical planting. Nearby Mill Bridge offers one of the town's most picturesque views across the River Leam and historic weir.

The Parade & Regent Street

These elegant Regency streets form the architectural and commercial heart of Leamington Spa. Lined with graceful terraces, independent shops, cafés and restaurants, they retain much of the character that attracted fashionable visitors two centuries ago.

Leamington College

Originally opened in 1848 as Warwickshire Proprietary College, this impressive Gothic Revival building educated generations of pupils, including jet-engine pioneer Sir Frank Whittle. Today, the beautifully restored complex enjoys a new life as an exclusive retirement village.

Kenilworth Castle

One of England's greatest castle ruins, Kenilworth boasts more than nine centuries of history. From the longest siege in English history to Robert Dudley's lavish attempts to impress Queen Elizabeth I, its dramatic ruins tell remarkable stories.

Guy's Cliffe House

Hidden beside the River Avon, Guy's Cliffe House combines legend and history. Associated with the famous Guy of Warwick, the atmospheric ruins, medieval chapel and woodland setting create one of Warwickshire's most romantic and intriguing locations.

The Saxon Mill

Standing beside the River Avon, the Saxon Mill occupies the site of a historic watermill with origins stretching back centuries. Today, visitors come for riverside views, excellent food and a chance to experience one of Warwickshire's most picturesque settings.

Lord Leycester Hospital

Founded in 1571 by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, the Lord Leycester Hospital is one of Britain's finest surviving medieval almshouses. Timber-framed buildings, peaceful courtyards and the magnificent chapel reveal over six centuries of history.

St Mary's Church

At the heart of Warwick stands St Mary's Church, renowned for its magnificent Beauchamp Chapel and soaring tower. Richly decorated tombs, medieval craftsmanship and spectacular views make it one of England's finest parish churches.

Chesterton Windmill

Standing alone on a Warwickshire hilltop, Chesterton Windmill is one of the county's most recognisable landmarks. Built in 1632, its distinctive arcaded base and commanding views create a striking reminder of England's rural past.
